Meet Caitlin

Caitlin Kenney is an award winning creative executive with 20 years experience ensuring editorial excellence and audience growth across successful podcast and special series at NPR, Gimlet, Spotify and more.

She was one of the founding members of NPR’s award winning Planet Money, where her work was regularly heard by millions of listeners on NPR's flagship programs Morning Edition, All Things Considered and on the Planet Money podcast. At Planet Money she reported and helped edit the year-long Planet Money t-shirt project, an in-depth look at the global garment manufacturing industry. The multimedia project earned an Emmy, a Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award, and a Gerald Loeb award.

She joined Gimlet Media as the VP of new show development in 2015. At Gimlet, she created a process for developing, launching and growing successful programming that today reaches tens of millions of people every week, shows like Science Vs., Crimetown, Mogul, Uncivil, and The Habitat. Gimlet was acquired by Spotify in 2019, and Caitlin stayed on to lead Gimlet as head of non-fiction programming.

The programs Caitlin developed at Gimlet and Spotify have been consistently named the top podcasts of the year by places like Entertainment Weekly, The Atlantic, Time, The New Yorker and many others.
